General Environmental Policy

clover Setting our eyes on new goals the Second Environmental Benchmark Year

More than a decade has passed since Seiko Epson started full-scale efforts towards solving global en-vironmental problems with its CFC-free declaration aimed at preserving the ozone layer. The year 1998 was designated the Second Environmental Benchmark Year, to mark a step forward towards creating an overall policy for global environmental protection including a medium-range corporate business plan.
The environmental measures in the table below have been established as targets for the entire Seiko Epson group.

General Environmental Policy

Reference year for goals: FY1998
*1: Only includes waste incinerated or buried in landfills = Emissions minus recycled materials
*2: Green purchase ratio: Purchased value of registered green products approved by Seiko Epson divided by total purchased value, multiplied by 100.
